On a More Personal Note...

Hello. My name is Mrs. Judy Pugh and I am beginning my 11th year as CHBCS Principal. This year makes 22 years that I have been a part of the CHBCS family, having taught here for 11 years prior to becoming the principal.

I am a member of Cedar Hills Baptist Church and am considered a part of the church staff. I was called by the Lord to teach many years ago and have had a love for children all my life. I graduated from Winter Haven High School and Florida Southern College. I majored in Spanish, Secondary Education and Elementary Education, with a minor in History. I also have 21 master credit hours.

I have been married to a wonderful Christian man for over 31 years and have one grown son. I enjoy many different interests including ministering to the elderly, shopping, reading and exploring small towns.

I appreciate my Lord, my church and my school families in allowing me to be a part of such a wonderful ministry!

Hi! My name is Mrs. Trish Jones. This is my 7th year at CHBCS. I have taught kindergarten and 1st grade here at CHBCS and am now answering God's call for me to fulfill the position of Assistant Principal. Previously, I taught 2nd grade for five years in the Clay County Public School System.

I graduated from Edward H. White High School and received my B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of North Florida. God called me into the education field, and I am so thankful to Him for that! Education is a very rewarding career; rewarding in the way of being able to give back to others. Working with children is a true blessing to me!

I am a member of Cedar Hills Baptist Church. I have been married for 13 years to a wonderful Christian man and have three children - ages 7, 8 and 10. I love to camp, oil paint, sing, travel, attend Little League games, and spend time with my family.

It is a blessing to be a part of the CHBCS family.

Hello. My name is Heather Beard and I am the Preschool Director at CHBCS. I have been blessed to work at CHBCS for the past 8 years. I came to CHBCS with 10 years experience teaching preschool. I have always had a love for children. I was called by the Lord to work with small children at the age of 16. My first job was at a Christian daycare.

I attend Cedar Hills Baptist Church. I have lived in Jacksonville all of my life. I am currently working on a degree in early childhood education at Ashworth College.

I have two children, a son who is in high school and a daughter who attends CHBCS. I enjoy shopping, reading and spending time with my children.

The Lord has truly blessed my life. I thank Him daily for the opportunity to serve Him at CHBCS.
